Busan, South Korea — Gen Sol announces that its animation series project has been selected for the 2024 B-CON Startup Commercialization Support Program, operated by the Busan IT Industry Promotion Agency (BIPA) under the Busan Content Korea Lab initiative.
The B-CON Startup Commercialization Program is an accelerator-based support program designed to help early-stage content creators and startups validate business models, develop prototypes, and advance toward market readiness. The program provides structured education, expert mentoring, and phased support, including prototype production and marketing assistance, through a competitive, multi-stage evaluation process.
Gen Sol was selected as part of the 2024 cohort with its animated series project within the Gen Sol IP universe. Through the program, the team received KRW 12.5 million in prototype production support for its animation project, following completion of the required education and evaluation stages. The Gen Sol team participated in business model validation and commercialization-focused education, followed by prototype-oriented development support aimed at strengthening the project’s production foundation and long-term viability.
Notably, this marks Gen Sol’s second selection for the B-CON Startup Commercialization Program, following its participation in the 2023 edition. The consecutive selection reflects the project’s sustained development progress and the team’s continued focus on building a scalable content IP with clear commercialization pathways.
“The B-CON program has played an important role in helping us refine both our creative direction and our approach to commercialization,” said Naru, founder of Gen Sol. “Being selected again in 2024 allowed us to further strengthen our animation pipeline and prepare the project for its next stage.”
Gen Sol plans to build on the outcomes of the B-CON program as it continues developing its animation series alongside other projects within the Gen Sol universe. Further updates will be shared as new milestones are reached.
