  • Web3 IP ‘GEN SOL’s’ Animated Series ‘The Spectra Heist’ Named a Finalist in KOCCA’s 2024 Animation Contest

    [BUSAN, SOUTH KOREA] – ‘The Spectra Heist,’ the first animated series from the Web3-based transmedia IP project ‘GEN SOL,’ announced today it has been selected as a finalist in the ‘2024 Animation Planning and Development Competition’ hosted by the Korea Creative Content Agency (KOCCA).

    KOCCA’s highly-regarded competition is a prestigious government-backed initiative aimed at vitalizing the foundation for original Korean animation and discovering outstanding new projects. ‘The Spectra Heist’ stood out from a competitive field to be named one of the 12 finalists, earning high praise for its original science-fiction universe targeting young adults, compelling characters, and robust storyline.

    ‘The Spectra Heist’ is an SF action-drama set in the Ark galaxy, chronicling a father’s journey to save his kidnapped daughter from a powerful empire. Planned as an eight-episode series, it will feature a hybrid 2D/3D production style and cinematic direction, promising a high-quality storytelling experience that differentiates it from other Web3 projects.

    This achievement marks another major milestone for the GEN SOL project, following previous recognitions such as the ‘K-Content Innovation Growth Guarantee’ and the Grand Prize at the ‘ICT Business Model Idea Competition,’ reaffirming its potential and competitiveness as recognized by South Korean government bodies.

    [BUSAN, SOUTH KOREA, September 11, 2025] – The Arkstar(working title) project, a next-generation Web3 content IP, announced today that it has won the Grand Prize in the General Division at the ‘4th ICT Business Model Idea Competition,’ hosted by the Korea Association for ICT Promotion (KAIT).

    The competition, sponsored by the Ministry of Science and ICT, was established to discover and support the commercialization of innovative ICT-based business models. The ‘Arkstar’ project received high acclaim from the judges for its originality in integrating Web3 technology with the content IP industry and for its clear vision of building a sustainable, community-driven economic system.

    The 4th ICT Business Model Idea Competition

    ‘Arkstar’ proposes a groundbreaking business model where the community takes ownership of the IP, funding content creation and sharing in the profits. This approach aims to overcome the limitations of the traditional, centralized content industry by creating a decentralized ecosystem where fans and creators grow the IP together.

    The project was especially recognized for its potential as a pioneering model in the Web3 content space, presenting a concrete and feasible roadmap that includes considerations for a Security Token Offering (STO) in alignment with future government policies.

    Web3 Content IP ‘GEN SOL’ Selected for KOCCA’s K-Content Innovation Growth Guarantee Program

    [Busan, South Korea] – GEN SOL, a next-generation Web3-based content IP project, has been selected for the global track of the 2023 “K-Content Innovation Growth Guarantee” program, hosted by the Korea Creative Content Agency (KOCCA). Through this selection, GEN SOL has secured a loan guarantee of KRW 100 million.

    The K-Content Innovation Growth Guarantee program aims to discover and support promising Korean content projects with high growth potential, enhancing their global competitiveness through financial assistance. GEN SOL was recognized for its original universe and community-driven business model, successfully passing a rigorous evaluation process.

    GEN SOL is a transmedia project built on a sophisticated sci-fi universe, currently developing its first animated series, The Spectra Heist, and a third-person shooter game, Arkstar. Led by seasoned professionals from the film and advertising industries, the project distinguishes itself from other Web3 initiatives by focusing on compelling storytelling.

    In addition, GEN SOL leverages Web3 technology to establish and manage its IP through community governance, aiming to build a sustainable, self-contained economic system. The project envisions a new content ecosystem where fandom evolves beyond passive consumption to become active ownership and co-creation.

    GEN SOL has already gained international recognition, having been selected for the Touchpoint Program—an ecosystem activation initiative by the Germany-based nonprofit IOTA Foundation.
